Scouting is proud to be a uniformed movement.

We want our members to feel like they belong, to be seen, recognised and trusted to be Scouts. We ask that uniform is worn to all meetings unless a specific activity means that other clothes would be more appropriate.

Uniforms can be purchased from our Scout Shop at 32 West Bond Street, Macclesfield SK11 3EQ. The shop is open on Tuesday evenings between 7.30pm and 9.00pm (term-time only).

The Scout Shop is run by volunteers, and any profit from purchases made there will remain in our district to support local scouting activities. Payments can be made via cash or BACS transfer.

There are also a small quantity of pre-loved uniforms available, which have been donated back by previous members. If this is of interest to you, please talk to your Section leader.

24th Macclesfield uniform

On becoming invested in their group, your young person will be presented with a 24th Macclesfield Necker. This is part of their uniform and you do not need to purchase it. In addition, they will need the following uniform:

• Beavers – blue Beavers crew neck sweatshirt (optional blue Beavers polo shirt)
• Cubs – green cubs crew neck sweatshirt (optional green Cubs polo shirt)
• Scouts – teal Scouts long sleeved shirt or blouse and navy trousers.
